Leading crypto exchange, FTX Europe will work collaboratively with Tomorrowland to launch crypto-enabled ticketing options and digital assets related to the popular music festival.
FTX’s Europe arm teams up for a long term with the world’s largest music festival – Tomorrowland to look into Web 3.0 applications such as NFTs for art, music, and ticketing, as well as crypto payments and metaverse events.
It will kick off on March 19th for Tomorrowland’s Winter Festival attendees. It will include an event called ‘The Quest’, which will allow them to collect 1,500 NFTs out of a total of 6,500 in five locations scattered throughout the French Alps – where it is taking place.
The event bracelet will then be scanned for entry, with 250 winners selected each day of Tomorrowland Winter. These tickets give 1,500 people access to three nights of exclusive concerts at an undisclosed location (March 23-25).
Non-attendees and Tomorrowland fans, on the other hand, can take advantage of exclusive benefits. The remaining 5000 NFTs will be available for purchase by the general public on FTX.US beginning March 26th at a price of 3 SOL. This is the first of many collections released by the duo.
The official website read: Holders of the first NFT collection will be taken on a magical journey and will be guaranteed a spot on the allowlist for the next drop, as well as be able to participate in airdrops, exclusive raffles, and contests.
The festival has promised to bring the best of blockchain technology to its upcoming events. These include Belgium’s annual iconic Tomorrowland, Tomorrowland Winter, and the award-winning digital festival Tomorrowland Around The World.
Michiel Beers, Founder of Tomorrowland said, “The evolution to web3 opens a lot of possibilities for our endless imagination and also the opportunity to tighten the bonds of our community in the coming years.”
Music industry stakeholders are increasing their cryptocurrency collaborations. FTX has collaborated with a music festival earlier this year. The exchange had partnered with The Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival to launch Solana NFTs that provided on-site perks and VIP access to the event.
Furthermore, Tomorrowland’s headliners earlier announced why the music scene is about to go bananas revealing Ape Rave Club to be the first NFT artist to perform at Tomorrowland in June this year.
