The eight-time NBA All-Star, Stephen Curry, dropped a birthday cake-themed NFT to the holders of his 2974 NFT Collection as part of his 34th birthday celebration.
The 2974 collection features a series of uniquely numbered NFTs available on the FTX platform, for whom Curry is a global brand ambassador. Each NFT is emphasizing a specific made 3-pointer and game date spanning his 12-year career.
And the surprise doesn’t end there!!
Out of the 2974 collection, Stephen Curry has made twenty-eight 3-pointers in his career during games that took place on his birthday on March 14th.
The holders of those precise shot moments NFTs will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to San Francisco this year, sponsored by FTX, for a special meet-and-greet with Steph Curry.
The person should be holding both the birthday cake NFT and one of the 28 birthday game NFTs in their FTX US wallet by May 1, 2022 to be officially confirmed for the event.
Curry aims to offer the whole proceeds from the sale of each 2974 NFTs to the Eat.Learn.Play. Foundation, which he and his wife Ayesha Curry co-founded.
The 2,974 Collection raised more than $2.1M for the foundation after selling out in less than 5 minutes on its launch on December 17th, 2021.
Curry is not the only NBA star who has shown interest in the NFT space. Recently L.A. Lakers starplayer King LeBron James hit headlines when it was found out that James reportedly filed for 4 NFT and Metaverse related trademark applications.
