The two-time national award-winning Indian superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni and his Twitter account speak for themselves when we say he is already deep into blockchain technology.
Nagarjuna, who predominantly appears in Telugu movies is not only known as a silver screen hero but also as a successful businessman.
Recently Nagarjuna Akkineni met Ethereum Layer-2 scaling platform Polygon’s co-founder Sandeep Nailwal. Polygon is a platform that allows developers to build scalable user-friendly dApps with low transaction fees without ever sacrificing security.
The actor tweeted “It was nice to meet and chat with @sandeepnailwal Co-founder @0xPolygon!! the man who put India on the world map of blockchain and talk about future tech!! Godbless.”
This did send the Indian crypto community and film Twitter into a frenzy who are now expecting Nagarjuna’s foray into the NFT and Metaverse space soon.
And why not, given that the superstar’s official Twitter handle has nearly 7 million followers and he is currently only following three accounts, two of which are related to cryptocurrency.
One is the @DocumentingBTC handle which tweets facts about Bitcoin on a daily basis. Next is Tesla CEO Elon Musk, a crypto enthusiast and an avid Dogecoin supporter. He is known in the community for his tweets about crypto coins. Musk recently revealed he won’t sell his cryptocurrencies. He will hodl Bitcoin, Ethereum and Dogecoin. The third one is Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The whole space is presently keeping an eye on what and when Nagarjuna’s next advancement into the sector would happen. Right now we already have seen Big B Amitabh Bachchan in this sphere whose NFT collection generated nearly $1M. There is Kamal Haasan who became the first Indian celebrity to have a very own digital avatar of himself in a metaverse.
