Hip-hop mogul, Snoop Dogg tweeted an NFT giveaway in the early hours of March 19.
The NFT in question was a Snoop Bounce NFT track, from the 1996 distinguished album Tha Doggfather.
The giveaway lasted for a mere two hours and required participants to create an account on the Gala Music platform.
Not having mentioned how many people will receive the giveaway, Gala Music retweeted Snoop Dogg and promised the drop by next week.
The Snoop Bounce NFT track collection initially dropped on the Gala Music platform, unsurprisingly sold out, and as of now, is available on Opensea, which seems to be its secondary marketplace.
Even with an available supply limited to just 500, this NFT came at a price of just $500. The drop of this track, one which is more than a decade old, signifies in some way, the return of the OG Snoop.
This drop was available in a descending price auction. Every 30 minutes, the price was reduced by $20 until the total supply was sold.
Snoop Dogg also went ahead and purchased Death Row Records, the label which launched him, in February of this year.
Following which he dropped the Death Row Records Mix: Vol 1 NFTs, a collection which sold out in a jiffy and generated a revenue of $264,456 or a 100 Eth precisely.
