The legendary NFL quarterback and Autograph co-founder, Tom Brady reveals that he is a big fan of Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin.
Buterin’s contribution to the cryptocurrency sector was praised by Tom Hardy, who recently once again startled the world with his unretirement from NFL.
Autograph, his NFT marketplace, would not have been possible without the Ethereum co-founder, Brady noted.
Brady’s words of admiration came in response to a tweet from Buterin, in which he shared screenshots of several rude messages criticizing his appearance. Trolls on Twitter compared Vitalik to Tom Brady, but not in a good manner.
Some called Vitalik a “dystopian” version of the popular footballer. Another joked that Buterin resembled Brady if he had taken meth.
Actually, the inclusion of the Ethereum co-founder on the cover of Time Magazine’s historic issue irritated a few of the Twitteratis who sparked such a reaction. This cover story on Vitalik by TIME is also the first-ever magazine issue published as an NFT.
Despite the legendary quarterback’s tremendous popularity, Buterin half-jokingly stated that he had no idea who Brady was. He looked to have mistaken the footballer for Tom Cruise, the star of ‘Mission Impossible.’
Gary Vaynerchuk aka Gary Vee, the CEO of VaynerMedia and a top NFT influencer, also joined in the interactions between Brady and Buterin.
Brady’s tweet went viral almost immediately, with nearly 80,000 likes as of this writing. Buterin expressed his gratitude to the footballer for his ‘kind support.’
Tom Brady also said that he would like to meet Vitalik Buterin someday, and referred to him as the G.O.A.T(Greatest of all Time).
