Leading crypto exchange FTX has announced the launch of FTX Australia, thus taking yet another step in FTX’s continued global expansion, as per the press release.
FTX Australia will provide industry-leading products and services, including a broad range of exchange and OTC-based products and services, as well as derivatives.
Headquartered in Sydney, FTX Australia holds an Australian Financial Services Licence. It will issue OTC derivatives like options contract, contract for difference (CFDs) and futures contract.
Excited to introduce FTX’s innovative services to the Australian market, Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO & Founder of FTX, commented, “The establishment of FTX Australia should provide all our local clients with the confidence of trading on a registered and licensed platform.”
Speaking of other operational territories, the CEO added that significant resources have been assigned to dynamically engage with local regulators.
He further disclosed the plans to participate in policy discussions globally and also continuing local involvement through FTX Australia.
FTX has been on a global expansion spree as recently this digital currency exchange also partnered with Aza Finance to increase the adoption of Web3 and digital currencies in Africa.
