Amid the ongoing intense war between Ukraine and Russia, the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation revealed a memorable NFT collection ‘Meta History Museum of War’ to boost its crypto donation.
The project is powered by Fair, an NFT platform on the Ethereum and Polygon network. The collection contains war NFTs based on the current war scenario. The NFTs are prepared by both Ukrainian and international digital artists.
The ministry, on the other hand, adds some twists for minting to make the project more interesting for minters. NFTs contain images that reflect war memories that will be kept blinded. That means minters will not be able to know what they are buying until they have purchased it. As the museum puts it: “You unveil the truth buying MetaHistory.”
The “Warline” tagged NFT collection shows NFTs based on the series of war events that started from Feb 24, the day when Russian President Vladamir Putin declared war against Ukraine. Each NFT from this collection will be sold for 0.15 ETH.
The proceeds generated from the sale will be directly transferred to the Ministry of Digital Transformation to help the Ukrainian government with humanitarian work as well as military.
Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov described the new platform as a “place to keep the memory of war” and “celebrate Ukrainian identity and freedom.”
“NFTs have shown the world the power of community, and the importance of the voice of the many and the one,” Fair wrote in a blog post.
Since the war bugle, the Ukrainian government has received huge donations through numerous initiatives. At the beginning of this month, UkraineDAO fetched over $6 million in ETH after selling 1/1 Ukrainian Flag NFT.
As per a report, more than $100 million crypto donations have been transferred to the Ukrainian government till now.
