The masked vigilante Batman is getting his own NFT collection. Warner Bros. subsidiary, DC in partnership with Palm NFT Studio has announced the launch of 200,000 NFTs, named the Bat Cowl collection which is set to drop on April 26.
The collection will feature 3D rendered images that are based on Batman’s 83-year long history and each NFT in the collection will have a unique set of features and traits, which will reflect the diversity of the Batman stories. Each NFT will be sold for $300.
The NFTs will be launched on DC’s NFT marketplace and owners of the DC FanDome NFTs, will get presale access to the Bat Cowl collection.
Bat Cowl holders will get access to a private DC Universe fan forum featuring behind-the-scenes content, select fan events, physical collectibles, merchandise, and more.
“The Bat Cowl Collection aims to redefine the NFT experience offering up unparalleled opportunities to one of the Studio’s most beloved franchises ” said Josh Hackbarth, Head of NFT Commercial Development for Warner Bros.
A two-year roadmap has been developed for the collectibles which will expand the utility for Bat Cowl holders every 52 days. The utilities include areas such as augmented reality, metaverse integration, and expanded wallet capabilities.
Upgrades for the collectibles will be available on nft.dcuniverse.com.

Warner Bros. has been using the caped crusader’s popularity to make money from various sources. Only a few days ago Warner Bros. teamed up with the Cartamundi Group to launch “DC Hybrid Trading Cards” that feature physical cards along with NFTs. Batman will also be featured on these dual use cards.
