NFT project, Mauer Digital has partnered with The Sandbox and dropped Ukrainian Flag NFTs. The NFTs are called ‘Wave For Ukraine’. This collaboration is an effort to raise money for the Ukrainian victims of the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
10,000 editions of the flag are created and each one will be sold for a price of $100. The NFTs are available on Mauer’s website and buyers can pay using both card and crypto.
Everyone who buys the NFT will be airdropped a voxelized 3D Ukrainian flag asset to use in the Sandbox. The asset features a flagpole with a base and a waving Ukrainian flag which has an in-game height of 25 meters and a length of almost 8 meters.
The sale of the flag will be conducted from March 30 to April 13, whereas The Sandbox asset will be airdropped at the end of April.
Every dollar collected will be matched by The Sandbox, hopefully raising a total of $2,000,000, should the collection sell out. The complete collection will be donated to charities vetted by Ukrainian employees of Mauer to ensure maximum impact.
The NFTs can be resold on OpenSea, where the proceeds, minus a 10% royalty fee, will be donated to charity.
Mauer has listed three charities on its websites with which it works. They are named Return Alive, Everybody Can and Ukraine Humanitarian Fund.
Ukraine has seen massive support from the crypto community as well as a substantial influx of crypto donations. Only recently, the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation NFT revealed a NFT collection ‘Meta History Museum of War’ to boost its crypto donation.
