The American hip-hop star, Snoop Dogg, appears to have an insatiable appetite for NFTs, as he announces a new NFT collaboration every so often. According to the ClayMates announcement, Snoop Dogg has joined the Cardano-based NFT project ‘Clay Mates’ NFT.
Along with the legend, his son Cordell Broadus, also known as Champ Medici in the NFT world, will be a part of this project, which will debut on April 10.
As per the roadmap, the project will drop an exclusive NFT collection along with an exclusive map area called ‘Clay Nation clayverse’. In clayverse, Snoop Dogg acquired a significant “pitch” entitled ‘Baked Nation’. Notably, the land plot holders of the Baked Nation will be able to unlock unreleased tracks of Snoop Dogg.
Generally, the Clay Nation clayverse is the booming virtual reality and augmented reality concept ‘metaverse’. However, this is not the first time when Snoop Dogg acquired land into the metaverse. Before this, he acquired a land parcel into the Sandbox.
Snoop Dogg highlights this specific area in the metaverse as an exclusive zone by acquiring a pitch in Clay Nation. Reportedly, in December, to become the neighbor of Snoop Dogg’s acquired land ‘Snoopverse’ in the Sandbox, an unknown person had paid $450K.
Baked Nation will be part of the Clay Nation’s planned pitches. With the development of the project, they will also add additional areas such as “Sonic Village” and “Underworld” for NFT holders.
Before the NFT project launch, Snoop Dogg and Champ Medici will attend a ‘Twitter Space’ discussion along with Clay Mates and Cardano Founder Charles Hoskinson on April 5th, at 6 PM UTC.
The Clay Mates’ Clay Nation project contains 10,000 Cardano 3D NFT avatars, which feature handmade clay traits. Also, these NFTs will be accessible in the upcoming virtual events in the Clay Nation.
Snoop Dogg’s run for NFTs has been incredible. With numerous tie-ups, he is continuously boosting the NFTs concept in new and conventional segments. Recently, Snoop Dogg teamed up with Wiz Khalifa to drop ‘Ape Drops 03: An 8th’ mixtape NFT collection.
