The Hip-Hop icon and top NFT influencer Snoop Dogg drops the first-ever virtual music video produced in The Sandbox Metaverse for his track ‘House I Built.’
The music video also features popular DJs and fellow NFT collectors Steve Aoki and Blond:ish with Snoop appearing as a voxel avatar in the visual.
The video is the first of its type and was created using The Sandbox’s free user-generated content creation tools VoxEdit and Game Maker.
The video is set in a Snoop-themed digital realm called the ‘Snoopverse,’ which he is currently developing in The Sandbox. Paid users in the Snoopverse will be able to visit a virtual replica of Snoop’s real-life mansion and attend virtual performances.
Snoop stated “The ‘House I Built’ track draws a parallel between how I’ve constructed my life and career and how I’m building out my Snoopverse virtual world in The Sandbox. Whether in the metaverse or the universe, it’s about keeping it real, being yourself, and making the most of every opportunity.”
House I Built is a track from Snoop Dogg’s latest album B.O.D.R released in February. Snoop even revealed an NFT version of B.O.D.R in collaboration with Gala Games in February. The collection is also available on OpenSea with 0.014ETH floor price at the time of writing.
Meanwhile, the music video might be a warm-up act for Snoop Dogg’s full-fledged virtual concert, which will take place in The Sandbox ‘later this year’.
Arthur Madrid, CEO and co-founder of The Sandbox, added “Snoop’s new, first-of-its-kind, Metaverse music video ‘House I Built’ provides a tangible example today but there is more coming very soon.”
