In a one-of-its-kind marketing activity to promote Ozworld collection, Adidas turned to sci-fi and announced the launch of a unique personality based AI generated metaverse avatar creation platform. Adidas partnered with Ready Player Me to develop this platform.
The platform will create avatars of the users based on their personalities. Users will have to answer a questionnaire including picking their favorite Ozworld footwear silhouette.Â
Based on this data, the platform will generate a unique digital avatar for every user. The idea behind this automated avatar generation is promotion of self expression and self experimentation, also the ethos of the Ozworld collection.
After the avatar generation, users can animate their avatars and also digitally try on and purchase sneakers from the Ozworld collection. Users can also download their avatars and use them as stickers and GIFs across various social media platforms.
Users can also use this Ozworld avatar, exclusively with Ready Player Me, across 1500 different metaverse apps and games. The interoperability of the avatar will exponentially increase Adidas’ visibility.
This unique platform and experience will go public on April 8. AdiClub Members and Adidas NFT holders will be granted early access via a unique URL. The first installment of avatars will be released on April 28.
Adidas has recognized the massive returns on marketing in the NFT and crypto space. Adidas debuted its first NFT collection in December generating an enormous $43 million in its first week. Adidas has also previously collaborated with famous Metaverse players Bored Ape Yacht Club, gmoney NFT, and PUNKS comic.
