Before saying a final goodbye to the Aventador Coupé production line, the luxurious automobile company Lamborghini revealed an auction for the last Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae Coupé ever produced along with an exclusive 1:1 NFT drop.
To make this moment memorable, Italian Carmaker is also joining hands with contemporary artists Krista Kim, Steve Aoki, and global brand storytelling agency INVNT GROUP.
Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae Coupé NFT collection will be the first supercar 1:1 NFT. This is the very first time that an Italian carmaker is auctioning an NFT collection which features a supercar.
“Lamborghini and the NFT community fit together very well, as we share many values,” says Stephan Winkelmann, Lamborghini Chairman and CEO. “We are both young-spirited innovators looking for unexpected projects and technological solutions.”
Lamborghini appointed car auction company RM Sotheby’s for the online auction. The auction for the exclusive NFT and Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae Coupé will start on April 19 at 6:00 pm CET / 12:00 pm EST, and end on April 21.
Lamborghini has a golden era in the selling of the Aventador collection. However, the vision to electrify its complete lineup in 2023 and 2024 compels Aventador to leave the production line.
However, this is not the first time Lamborghini made moves in NFT space. In January, Lamborghini announced five rare Space-themed NFTs through “Space Key”, which was made from carbon fiber that traveled to space in 2019.
The INVT Group will help Lamborghini “unite design, music, and cutting-edge technology to create the perfect celebration of the brand’s legacy.”
The 1:1 NFT will transfer to the highest bid placer, who will also get additional rewards including exclusive virtual previews of future limited-edition Lamborghini models, a private tour of the Museo Lamborghini, and a virtual meet and greet with artists Steve Aoki and Krista Kim.
