Already famous in the collectibles industry, Marvel has slowly established a firm place in the NFT industry as well. Marvel Digital Comics has announced the drop of a five-issue story arc of the Fallen Son: The Death of Captain America!!
The drop will take place on the VeVe app, which can be accessed from both iOS and Android phones.
The digital comics will be fully readable and the first comic of the Fallen Son:The Death of Captain America #1 will be dropped on April 11 at 8 AM PT.
One comic will be dropped at the same time each day until April 15. The last comic of the series, Fallen Son:The Death of Captain America #5 will be released on April 15.
The digital comics have five different cover rarities and a total of 30,000 editions.
The cover rarities and their tally is as follows:
- COMMON — Classic Cover: 21,000
- UNCOMMON — Vintage Variant: 5,000
- RARE — Hero Variant: 2,350
- ULTRA RARE — Vibranium Variant: 1,050
- SECRET RARE — True Believer Variant: 600
The drop will be conducted in a blind box format and each NFT is listed at $6.99.
For every comic, the VeVe Exclusive Rare and Ultra Rare covers are designed by different artists.
For reselling on secondary markets, a 6% licensor fee will be imposed by Marvel in addition to the VeVe 2.5% secondary market fees.
Marvel also dropped ‘Werewolf by Night #32’ comic NFT a few days ago. These NFTs were also priced at $6.99 and sold on the VeVe app.
