Crypto sponsorship deals have swept the sporting world, and Blockchain.com has jumped on board. It became the first digital asset platform in American football after signing a historic partnership with the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL).
In Brief:
- The agreement includes club space inside AT&T Stadium, extensive TV, radio, digital advertising, and more.
- Fans can get access to exclusive experiences, VIP trips, and player-hosted events through the Blockchain.com wallet.
- They also announced a promotional campaign where fans purchasing $100 in digital assets from the Wallet will get a $50 bonus reward.
Jerry Jones, the football team’s owner, President, and General Manager, made the announcement alongside Peter Smith, Blockchain.com’s Co-founder and CEO at the Cowboy team’s headquarters in Frisco, Texas.
The sponsorship agreement will include club space inside AT&T Stadium, rights to social/digital integrations, obvious signage within the stadium bowl, as well as extensive TV, radio, and digital advertising, and for fans–to access Dallas Cowboys content and their Blockchain.com Wallet.
This partnership comes after the NFL announced that teams would no longer be forbidden from sponsorship contracts with blockchain-based exchanges.
Smith shared, “Long before the NFL gave the green light to work with crypto companies, we’ve been getting to know the Cowboys and the Jones family,” stating that an NFL survey found a whopping 54% of Cowboys fans believe crypto is the future of online financial transactions.
Dallas Cowboys become the first national professional sports deal for the crypto company as Smith added, “We wanted to partner with only a select few teams and businesses that are first in their category, founder or family led, and have a reputation for integrity and long-term thinking.”
Through engaging social media campaigns, the collaboration will bring communities together virtually, as fans can expect to get access to exclusive experiences, VIP trips, and player-hosted events. There will also be a “Block Party”–an educational summit for interested fans to learn more about the digital assets space.
Also, the company is running a promotional campaign where Cowboy fans who purchase $100 in digital assets from Blockchain.com will get an additional $50 bonus reward.
Jones commented on the deal, saying, “Blockchain.com is one of the oldest and most trusted digital asset platforms in the world, has easy-to-use products and remains relentlessly focused on customers. They are bringing Wall Street to Main Street by making digital assets available to anyone, anywhere in the world–and that’s a touchdown for our millions of global fans.”
In a series of sporting franchises and sponsorship deals, Crypto.com’s teaming up with the Los Angeles soccer team “Angel City Football Club” caught eyes as they came together to encourage education on cryptocurrency, blockchain, and Web3 among soccer fans.
The Crypto Times also reported a major crypto-sports intersection with FTX’s Super Bowl Advertisement starring the comedian star Larry David, which was a clear sign of the crypto industry’s brisk growth and desire for mainstream acceptance.
