Japanese messaging app Line has finally launched the LINE NFT Marketplace. The marketplace was launched through the blockchain subsidiary, LVC.
The marketplace will offer about 40,000 NFTs to its 90 million users. Users can purchase and trade NFTs on the platform. The NFTs can be stored on the LINE BITMAX Wallet.
The marketplace will feature NFTs from Yoshimoto Kogyo Holdings, a major Japanese entertainment agency, anime series Mobile Police Patlabor and LINE’s character Betakkuma. The company is affiliated with 17 such other creators.
On April 20, an original NFT by the manga artist Yashiro Azuki will be dropped.
The company has also launched a “NFT Lottery Campaign” to celebrate the launch of the NFT marketplace. The campaign will continue until May 8.
In this campaign, 1,000 users will be gifted an “Amazon gift certificate of 10,000 yen” by releasing an NFT number, which each user obtains after opening their account.
From April 15 to April 19, the company will also host a retweet contest, with 500 winners receiving a “1,000 yen Amazon gift certificate”.
The launch of the LINE NFT marketplace was announced a few weeks ago. The announcement also said users will be able to use NFTs as LINE’s official stamps and stickers.
