Amid the ongoing mega cricket festival the ‘Indian Premier League’, a young talented cricketer Shubman Gill from a new team Gujarat Titans will take his fans on a virtual tour in the metaverse from the team’s locker room at the home stadium on April 15 at 17:00 IST.
Shubman Gill will appear in the metaverse to demonstrate two rooms made by Gujarat Titans, where he will interact with his fans and answer their questions, according to an official statement from the team.
To witness this virtual event, fans will have to download the Spatial app mentioned on the Gujarat Titans’ official social media handle. Nearly 45 people will be able to get this adorable opportunity to share the emerging metaverse space with the outstanding batsman Shubman Gill.
Gill said, “We may be in the bio-secure bubble, but this technology allows us to interact with the fans and also make them feel a part of the Gujarat Titans family. I am looking forward to meeting them in the metaverse on Friday.”
Arvinder Singh, COO of Gujarat Titans said, “As technology evolves, human interactions take different forms. The metaverse is a new medium that promises to connect people across the world on a virtual reality platform. Metaverse is an emerging virtual 3D space program based on blockchain technology that uses different elements such as Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) as well as hardware components.
This is not the first time when the Gujarat Titans franchise is embracing the metaverse space. Before this, Gujarat Titans unveiled their logo in the metaverse space, which made it the first IPL team to enter into metaverse space.
