Cryptocurrency exchange Blockchain.com is reportedly interviewing banks for an initial public offering IPO as it plans for an IPO soon, this year.
Even so, reports also suggest that the IPO may not happen until 2023 quoting officials familiar with the matter.
However, if Blockchain.com succeeds in holding an IPO, it would be only the second crypto exchange in the U.S. to achieve the feat. Coinbase was the first crypto exchange to go public in 2021 at an opening price of $381 per share of the native token COIN.
Blockchain.com is one of the leading crypto exchanges in the world and recently reached a valuation of $14 billion. The valuation was hit with its Series D funding round which was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners.
The exchange firm has also bagged a few other deals. It recently became the first crypto asset platform to enter the American football circuit after signing a historic partnership with the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL.
