A rejoicing moment for art connoisseur and Web3 enthusiasts alike, as the 13th edition of the Indian Art Fair will be hosted in Metaverse!
The Indian Art fair’s 13th edition will begin on April 28 and run until May 1, 2022.
According to reports, it will be held both on NSIC grounds and in the metaverse.
The Indian Art Fair reportedly announced its partnership with XR Central to create a digital twin of this year’s fair for a browser-centred 3D metaverse experience.
Thus, the visitors of the fair can select and customise full-body avatars for their virtual visit. It is also informed that the XR central team will deliver a plethora of choices of headgear, skin colour, and body type to create an inclusive and diverse metaverse experience.
Moreover, visitors can ‘switch’ between first-person and third-person perspectives to interact with friends and family at the metaverse version of the India Art Fair 2022 and take delight in the immersive experience.
Note that the metaverse experience is an absolutely ‘free’ one and can be accessed through many devices and browsers.
The Indian Art Fair is an annual affair held in India’s capital, New Delhi. The fair is an exhibition of the city’s local arts scene and also provides curated insights into the cultural space of neighbouring countries.
Shrey Mishra, co-founder of XR Central commented, “We are extremely excited to partner with IAF to create its first-ever Metaverse edition of the fair. With a Total Addressable Global Market pegged at USD 552.57 Billion, art is at the cusp of being disrupted with immersive technologies like XR (AR, VR and MR).”
Shrey further said that XR’s powerful platform, MetaQube, is democratizing the way metaverse is being looked at.
The art scenes in Web3 space are now altogether a different space to watch out for. Recently, the first ever hologram NFT of Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece, La Bella Principessa was released on Makersplace!!
