The Japanese singer-songwriter Pikotaro best known for his popular song ‘Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen,’ is teaming up with Zombie Zoo Keeper, a 9-year-old NFT sensation to launch an NFT music video.
According to a report, a Los Angeles-based Web3 launchpad OP3N is the host of a music video titled ‘Zombie Zoo to PIKOTARO DESU.’ The video is directed by Wengie, a renowned YouTuber.
OP3N’s objective is to promote interest in creative collaborations, communities, and novel virtual experiences among Asian audiences’.
1000 NFT artwork pieces titled ‘PikoZoo’ which are video frames from the music video will be available. Holders of PikoZoo NFTs will be added to a whitelist for future NFT events and activities.
Each NFT is valued at 0.08ETH (US$240.09) and holders will have access to the music video before it is released to the general public in May.
The NFT’s pre-sale begins at 12 p.m. JST on April 26th, followed by the public sale on April 28 at 12 p.m. JST.
According to OP3N, this creative initiative ushers in a new era of entertainment in Japan, as the two icons representing Web2 and Web3 meet.
“I’ve long admired Zombie Zoo Keeper’s youthful creativity and found it extremely refreshing to see artwork that’s fun and boundless imagination,” Pikotaro stated.
Zombie Zoo Keeper added “It has been very enjoyable to work with PIKOTARO on this project. I’m excited for more people to see my artwork and I liked trying new arts as part of the music video.”
