The non-fungible token (NFT) minting protocol CXIP Labs, announced it raised $6.5 million in a seed round to introduce Holograph, a range of products for NFT creators and enterprises.
Courtside Ventures and Wave Financial led the funding round. Some investors include Gary Vaynerchuk’s Vaynerfund and celebrities Diplo, Pussy Riot’s Nadya, Gmoney and NFT artist Justin Aversano.
The Holograph suite consists of three initial products – Mint, Bridge and Core.
Mint is a no-code minting interface for NFT creators. Bridge allows transferring of NFTs between Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) blockchains with complete data integrity. Lastly, Core is a multichain application programming interface (API) for software developers.
The CXIP Labs protocol has earlier been used to launch NFT drops from Sotheby’s Metaverse and Nifty Gateway. It was also recently active in the UkraineDAO NFT project, which raised more than $6 million to support Ukraine in its war against Russia.
Gary Vaynerchuk, the founder of VaynerFund commented, “The CXIP Labs team has a proven background in supporting artists’ rights across creative industries, Web 3 fundamentals and a vision of the future for creators informed by some of the smartest people in Web 3.”
Many celebrities are involved in the project, including artists Joe Jonas and Pharrell Williams, with whom the CXIP Labs previously launched DAO to protect artist rights.
Other investors in the funding round included the Arca NFT Fund, Mirana Ventures, Kenetic Capital, Infinity Ventures Crypto, Company Ventures, Avalaunch, Soma Capital, Kosmos VC and Palm Drive Capital.
CXIP Labs’s last funding raised a $1.7 million in the seed round led by Mechanism Capital.
