The popular virtual influencer Rae is gearing up to launch an NFT collection titled ‘Adventures of Tako’ in celebration of International Girls in ICT(Information and Communication Technology) Day.
The Adventures of Tako NFT collection, which will be released in three series, will feature fascinating adventures of Rae’s virtual companion Tako.
The collection comprises 5064 uniquely generated 3D NFTs in total. ‘To The Moon’ is the theme of the first series, which includes 888 NFTs.
Tako is decked out in the greatest space helmets and eyewear, as well as the most cutting-edge gear and weapons, allowing him to take on the galaxy and travel to infinity and beyond.
On Sunday, May 1, 2022, at 20:00 (GMT+8), the series will be available for public minting at the Adventures of Tako website. The cost of each NFT is 0.0288 ETH.
Users can also participate in giveaways and contests on Twitter, Discord, and Instagram to gain a whitelist slot on Saturday, April 30th, 2022.
Rae’s ‘To The Moon’ series is devoted to campaigning for and raising awareness of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education for young girls, as well as its capacity to positively impact society.
The United Women Singapore initiative will get 8% of the overall sales proceeds and royalty payments from ‘To The Moon’ series. Rae will also donate one NFT to a charity sale at UWS.
For the next three months, 30% of the royalty payments from each transaction on the secondary digital marketplace OpenSea will go to Girls2Pioneers.
NFT owners of the first series will also receive a special audio message from Rae with each purchase, as well as primary access to the debut of the second series of the Adventures of Tako collection.
Rae released and sold out her first animated NFT collection, ‘TAKE A BYTE,’ in July 2021. Rae’s well-loved Instagram photos were also included in the series.
The virtual influencer stated “In celebration of International Girls in ICT Day, Tako and myself are embarking on this NFT project to advocate the empowerment of more young women to have an early interest in STEM subjects and eventually develop careers in these fields.”
Rae added “As burgeoning technologies such as blockchain, smart contracts become more commonplace and influence the way we work, play and live, it is key to advocate the importance of making such innovations accessible to as many people as possible.”
