With the latest Doctor Strange movie about to hit the theaters, Marvel has announced the drop of three collectible rarities of ‘The Eye of Agamotto’.
The drop of these NFTs is scheduled for 8:00 am PST, today on the VeVe NFT marketplace. This is one of the first in the collection of Marvel Artifacts.
The Eye of Agamotto is an essential element of the Doctor Strange universe. It holds the time stone and allows the owner to control the flow of time.
The three collectible rarities and their editions dropping are:
1. Eye of Agamotto — Closed
- This collectible features a closed Eye of Agamotto in premium digital format.
- Editions: 12,000
- Rarity: Uncommon
2. Eye of Agamotto — Open
- This collectible features an open Eye of Agamotto allowing one to see the Time Stone inside.
- Editions: 6,500
- Rarity: Rare
3. Eye of Agamotto — Animated
- This collectible features an animated Eye of Agamotto which opens and closes, revealing the Time Stone within.
- Editions: 2,110
- Rarity: Secret Rare
The drop will take place in a blind box manner. The list price of each item is $70. The items can be resold on secondary markets such as OpenSea. During the secondary sale, a 2.5% market fee will be imposed by VeVe along with a 6% license fee which is applicable on all Marvel secondary sales.
Marvel and VeVe have a longstanding partnership which results in frequent Marvel NFT drops. Marvel also dropped ‘New Mutants Annual’, a limited edition NFT collection. This volume features Betsy Braddock being kidnapped by Spiral and Mojo and remade in Mojo’s image.
