The popular Turkish football club Trabzonspor announced the launch of their first-ever NFT collection celebrating their sporting history.
According to local news reports, South Korea’s top NFT sports industry platform Sportium is going to launch Trabzonspor’s NFT collection.
Tranbzonspor is going to debut three different NFT collections that commemorate the club’s most memorable moments: The ‘Trabzonspor Championship Collection,’ the ‘Historical Collection,’ and the ‘VIP Auction Collection’.
An NFT of a football top depicting different squad members will be included in each of these collections.
Even though no formal date has been set, the club’s NFT campaign is expected to commence in Q2 2022.
The Trabzonspor Championship Collection costs $61 for each NFT, and the price is based on Trabzon’s license plate number.
Trabzonspor is in the midst of one of its most successful seasons in recent years. With only four games remaining, the squad sits atop the Süper Lig, and for the first time since 1983, they will win the Süper Lig if everything goes well.
The sports industry is no stranger to the NFT sector especially with various football clubs from different leagues starting to show their interest for the collectibles as a way to engage with their fans. Just two weeks back, Serie A league giant AC Milan announced its first ever official NFT project, in partnership with Fansea and BitMex.
