The Crypto.com reduces the rewards from their Visa Cards aka CRO cards rewards programme to make certain long term profitability. The cards which were introduced in November 2018 have made their way to become the world’s most famous Crypto-linked program.
Commencing from June 1, 2022, the holders of CRO cards will only be able to get a certain number of CRO Card rewards per month when using their Crypto.com Visa Card.
With 40 nations currently listed to provide services CRO cards are getting immense popularity among crypto enthusiasts. To make sure that this exponential growth is supported properly in order to make it long term, Crypto.com has decided to make a few changes to their CRO card rewards program.
For example, if you hold a Ruby Steel Card, your monthly CRO Card rewards will be capped at US$25 and similarly Royal Indigo/Jade Green holders will be capped at $50. There is no monthly CRO Card rewards cap for Icy White, Frosted Rose Gold, or Obsidian cardholders.
Also, cardholders who staked before 1 May 2022, 13:00 UTC and have an active 6-month stake will continue to gain CRO card rewards on payments until their 180-day stake is expired.
Once that period is over, the revised tariffs will go into force. Cardholders who stake CRO after their 180-day lock period gets expired will be gifted spending points on their card.
Jade Green, Royal Indigo, Icy White, Obsidian and Frosted Rose Gold cardholders will no longer get CRO staking incentives.
Anyhow, all other services will remain the same. Like the monthly subscription services such as Spotify, Netflix, and Amazon Prime, will continue to get reimbursed. The reimbursement will be taken from the holder’s CRO cap calculation on a monthly basis.
Moreover, Jade Green, Royal Indigo, and other higher-tier cardholders will also continue to have unrestricted complimentary access to Airport LoungeKeyTM lounges.
The company said, “It was a difficult decision to make these adjustments to the card program. We are devoted to exploring and forming new partnerships to provide better value and benefits to our cardholders, like our partnership with Dosh, a cash-back rewards program in the United States.”
Crypto cards are fairly new but they are getting good reviews and many people are realising the potential of cryptocurrency. Just recently, even Binance launched a Crypto Card to help Ukrainian refugees.
