The World of Women NFT team announced a new proposal outlining the restructuring plans for its upcoming ArtDrops as the current system does not enable its full potential.
From the next ArtDrop event onwards tokens would be on Ethereum blockchain instead of Polygon due to the former’s higher resilience. To allow for edition numbers, the tokens would be ERC 721 rather than ERC 1155.
The token supply will be limited to boost perceived value, and enhanced features will be included for better marketplace filtering.
The token distribution per planet will be replaced with an open edition like system, allowing collectors to choose the level of scarcity. It will cost a few ETH to mint the tokens, which will be used to pay the artists.
The maximum amount of NFTs that can be minted will be stated ahead of time and will vary from month to month.
A WoW will be rewarded with 200 points every month on a specific date, and a WoW Galaxy will be rewarded with 100 points.
Following the distribution of points, a snapshot of the points will be taken, and a list of winners based on the points will be raffled. The more points you have, the better your chances of winning are.
The winners will have the opportunity to mint an artwork of their preference at a given price that will apply to all artworks.
The winners will have 24 hours to mint their NFTs. If all artworks are not minted within 24 hours, new winners will be added to the list until all WoW/WoW Galaxy owners have had an opportunity to mint within 48 hours.
Minting will be halted after 72 hours, and the total supply of each artwork will be frozen. When you mint an artwork, all of your points in your wallet will be reset to zero.
Holding a Wow/WoW Galaxy in the same wallet for an extended period of time increases a multiplier that grants bonus points.
Unused points will be retained over time, giving you more chances to win the ArtDrops raffle the following month. There will be quests later on that will allow you to earn extra points.
The team’s aim is to make the proposal evolve until it’s ready for World of Women’s official governance DAO ‘DaWoW’ to vote.
The new system will be refined over time, and no ArtDrops will be held until the restructured system is in place.
The World of Women is in the forefront of NFT projects as it listens to the community and is not afraid to bring in innovations every now and then. In March, the highly anticipated WoW’s 2nd collection, WoW Galaxy, sold out quickly upon its launch.
