The boxing icon Floyd Mayweather is back with promoting yet another NFT initiative which is titled the ‘world’s first-ever NFT sporting event’ after multiple NFT project rug pulls.
Mayweather is no stranger to the NFT rug pull game, as he benefited from ventures such as Ethereum Max, Bored Bunny, Real Floyd NFT, Moonshot, etc. Mayweather and Kim Kardashian were even sued for promoting Ethereum Max tokens.
With no updates from the development teams since their debut, all of these projects currently have values close to zero.
Mayweather also announced the NFT Project Mayweverse in March. His most recent endeavor, raised less than $200,000 when it got launched on April 13. The development team has now vanished with the funds, leaving Mayweather to push dubious ideas once more.
Floyd Mayweather is now promoting the NFT sports event ‘Global Titans Fight Series,’ which will feature a boxing match between Mayweather and Don Moore, in Dubai at Burj al-Arab.
The event will feature an exclusive live-streamed pay-per-view for NFT ticket holders, allowing them to watch the event online on May 14. Viewers will also be able to get hold of a rare Global Titans NFT ticket.
Limited edition 3D collectibles, exclusive video content, and official media assets from the event’s opening night will be available to the NFT owners.
A few of the Mayweverse NFT holders were eligible for signed gloves, and two holders were meant to win an all-inclusive trip to see Floyd fight on the May 14th event. But because of the rug pull, there have been no updates so far.
