While the metaverse revolution is about to begin, the Chinese state-backed group of industries formed a committee entitled “Metaverse Special Committee” dedicated to metaverse development in the country.
Tan Jianrong, co-president of the metaverse committee and professor at Zhejiang University stated in an online seminar hosted by the industry lobby that the committee will help metaverse projects to prepare development drafts as well as maintain draft standards.
As per the report covered by Shanghai Securities Journal, over 150 companies have joined the metaverse committee. Tan Jianrong asked to figure out the status quo of industry development as soon as possible.
Recently, China has issued a stern warning against its citizens committing financial crimes using NFTs and Metaverse.
Already, Metaverse and digital assets have been falling into China’s communist government. The metaverse topic was discussed in China’s Two Sessions, the most important set of political meetings cited concern over its speculations and asked to install regulations immediately needed to maintain users’ security.
