The popular Canadian comic book creator, Todd McFarlane teamed up with the crypto enthusiast musician Steve Aoki to launch his first ever NFT on their own NFT marketplace dubbed Oddkey.
Best known for his work as the artist on The Amazing Spider-Man, Todd Mcfarlane has made a huge name in the comic industry and now he is seeking the opportunity to step into web3 by dropping his first NFT. This NFT is based on one of his most popular characters, Spawn.
The NFTs will be limited to 500 copies, with 50 having individually digitally encoded handwritten signatures. Moreover, an even rarer number of only three NFTs will also feature a small drawing made by McFarlane himself.
In the upcoming days, Oddkey will start with the first evolution of a much awaited NFT from the mega comic book artist and creator, Todd McFarlane. The NFT space is not new to comic related NFTs. The most famous comic company Marvel has stepped into NFT space and gained extensive profits from a plethora of NFT drops.
“It’s been an exciting partnership and journey creating this new NFT platform. We are so excited to finally get to open the doors to allow the fans and collectors to come in for the debut of the official Oddkey.com platform and reveal the first-ever McFarlane NFTs for sale,” said Mcfarlane.
McFarlane’s creation and development of the Spawn NFTs is the first time he has sold original digital art. Since the conception of his character 30 years ago in 1992, the artist has not sold any original hand-drawn Spawn art.
