The world’s fastest-growing cryptocurrency platform Crypto.com has announced that Shopify merchants can now enable Crypto.com Pay on their online storefronts. With this, they can expand their reach by giving customers more options to make their purchases with cryptocurrencies.
To promote this launch, Crypto.com will waive the 0.5% settlement fee on all transactions for one month after the integration. The offer is valid for all Shopify merchants who sign up for Crypto.com Pay until June 30, 2022.
Merchants can sign up here and follow the Shopify setup guide to integrate with Crypto.com Pay. It will allow merchants to receive cryptocurrencies instantly from a rapidly growing base of Crypto.com app users with zero transaction fees. This off-chain offering is in real time and accessible to all Crypto.com app users across the globe.
To provide further business incentives for Crypto.com Pay merchants, Crypto.com will also offer customers crypto-cashback Pay rewards when they check out with the Cronos token (CRO). According to the blog post, CRO can be up to 10% during the promotional periods.
Incorporating Shopify will help Crypto.com become the preferred crypto payment app for online merchants who are keen to accept cryptocurrency. The aim is to provide more customers and merchants with the ability to engage in commerce using cryptocurrencies.
Also, merchants do not require to pay any setup costs, and the integration only takes minutes for merchants to complete. Crypto.com Pay offers zero fees transactions with only 0.5% settlement fees – an 80% saving on fees when compared to typical payment processors.
Crypto.com Pay allows customers to pay with over 20 tokens including BTC, ETH, CRO, SHIB, DOGE, and APE.
The lead of Blockchain Ecosystem at Shopify, John S. Lee, also expressed his view on this latest integration by saying – “We’re happy to welcome Crypto.com to assist Shopify merchants provide an additional quick and convenient way for customers to pay for their online orders.”
Shopify is actively growing the blockchain ecosystem to support merchants with alternative payment methods on their storefronts, expanding what’s possible in commerce. Strike CEO Jack Mallers also announced Shopify integration last month. NCR, Shopify, and Blackhawk Network were also partners with Strike. The goal of this partnership is to provide Bitcoin Lightning payments to large retailers.
