The leading crypto payments processor BitPay announced that crypto wallet Edge integrated the Bitpay protocol to offer error-free payments to its customers.
According to the announcement, this integration will allow Edge wallet’s users to spend cryptocurrency online and in-store free of payment exceptions.
Edge is a non-custodial wallet supporting over 1.7 million accounts in 10 languages across 179 countries, allowing users to buy, sell, trade over 130 digital assets.
BitPay Protocol removes payment exceptions such as overpayments, underpayments, late payments, unconfirmed payments, and potential double-spends, thereby offering accurate payments.

Verifone’s crypto payment system with a 35 million device footprint, instantly enables wallets that have the BitPay Protocol integrated to spend crypto on both in-store and online purchases.
BitPay claims to be the only payment processor that supports over 100 different wallets for consumer-to-business (C2B) and business-to-business (B2B) transactions.
Stephen Pair, CEO of BitPay, stated “With Edge’s support, together we are able to promote payment quality online and in-store for both customers and merchants wanting to leverage the benefits of crypto payments.”
Paul Puey, co-founder and CEO of Edge added “We support BitPay’s Payment Protocol to help ensure our users can make simple and accurate transactions with thousands of merchants.
