South Korean multinational automotive company, Hyundai Motors, is taking its vision of ‘Expanding Human Reach’ through metaverse and robotics to a concrete level now. The pioneer of the ‘Metamobility’ concept has applied for two trademarks with the USPTO, paving the way for it to infiltrate the realm of NFTs and the metaverse.
Mike Kondoudis, a metaverse trademark specialist attorney, tweets an update on the automaker’s trademark filings.
Hyundai is broadening its boundaries in areas other than the physical world. Its partnership with NFT brand “Meta Kongz” or even its first exclusive Metamobility NFT collection, “Shooting Star”, proves this.
Filed on June 2 with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), “Hyundai Metamobility” and “Metamobility” are trademarks that refer to services and devices, as well as their design:
- Software for augmented and virtual reality and simulation.
- Encryption devices as security tokens.
- Software for issuing, trading, selling, and verifying NFTs.
- NFT-backed media files featuring avatars for AR and VR, virtual cars, and merchandise.
- Downloadable e-wallets.
- Hosting platforms for digital content online.
