The Arizona State University has filed for NFT and metaverse-related trademark applications for its name and the ‘Red Devil’ logo.
The applications were filed on June 8 and include filings for
- NFT backed multimedia (audio, video, text and artwork) relating to athletes, sports highlights, and campus activities.
- NFTs of trading cards, event tickets, campus landmarks, campus scenery, banners, gonfalons, and diplomas
- Virtual environments for “theater productions, athletic events, music concerts, art exhibitions, and educational instruction”
- Training, classes, seminars, lectures, workshops, meetings, and tutoring in a virtual environment
- Virtual campus tours
- Virtual clothing
The filings are owned by the Arizona Board of Regents, for and on behalf of Arizona State University.
