The world’s premier mixed martial arts organization, UFC, files trademark applications for software and websites for trading, managing, and spending NFTs, crypto, etc, for the ‘Ultimate Fighting Championship.’
The trademark registrations were disclosed in a recent tweet by Mike Kondoudis, a trademark lawyer in Washington.DC, who examines Metaverse and NFT trademark filings at the USPTO.
According to the filings, UFC is planning to develop a SAAS featuring software which allows members to receive, access, spend, trade and manage cryptocurrency, NFTs, digital assets, etc.
The organization also intends to launch a website with technology that will enable users to receive, spend, trade, and manage “cryptocurrencies, digital currency, digital tokens, and digital assets.”
One of the applications suggests the creation of an on-line community for UFC fans to engage in discussions and expand the circle.
UFC is also aiming to establish virtual communities, and engage in social networking featuring “user-generated content, cryptocurrency, digital currency, digital tokens, non-fungible tokens, digital collectibles, digital assets, sports and entertainment.”
UFC filed these trademark applications with the help of attorney Jennifer Ko Craft of the Dickinson Wright legal firm.
