The world’s oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament, Wimbledon, is ready for new chapters as it celebrates its 100th anniversary. Wimbledon brings its NFT collection, “The Centenary Collection,” in collaboration with the Glorious NFT studio.
The Centenary NFT Collection commemorates the 100th anniversary of the All-England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC), also known as the Centre Court.
In collaboration with New Zealand’s game-changing creative NFT studio and marketplace, Glorious, the Championships will pay tribute to the iconic tennis landmark this year.
The collection includes ten artworks in editions of 100 for each decade. To purchase a £500 NFT of Wimbledon history, one must enter the ballot.
The NFT collection of 1000 pieces, includes the 1922 clash between British and French players, then the sporting rivalries caused by WWII, the bold fashion changes as a form of expression, and all generations of super talent on the Centre Court.
Because they expect the demand for such limited edition NFTs to be high, a ballot system is in place to ensure that the NFTs are grabbed fairly by purchasers.
If you are a successful ballot entrant, Glorious accepts payment in Fiat, local currencies, and cryptocurrencies. Ballot entries will be notified before the 10th of July.
The successful entrants have 48 hours to complete their purchase before the NFT is reallocated -to another who has 24 hours to complete their purchase.
