South African cricketer AB de Villiers is gearing up for his innings in the blockchain ecosystem. Mr. 360 has collaborated with the Myria blockchain gaming company to create a blockchain game that uses NFTs and blockchain play-and-earn (P2E) structures.
The Ethereum L2 scaling gaming platform had teased the partnership a few days ago. The mobile-based cricket game is the first celebrity-backed blockchain cricket game that combines blockchain play-and-earn models with NFT earning potential.
The G.O.A.T. wants blockchain gaming to be a more social and exciting experience, similar to a game on the field.
AB de Villiers stated, “The main thing is that there is no compromise. My cricket game will be fun and exciting, just like a match on the field, but it will also empower digital asset ownership. Myria shares my commitment and together we will bring new cricket experiences to my fans.”
The unnamed game is said to provide genuinely fun and exciting gameplay that will appeal to everyone from casual gamers to die-hard cricket fans.
According to Myria, we should get our first look at the game in Q2 2023. The team will then release the NFT cricket game on the Apple App and Google Play stores.
