The Indian multinational telecommunication firm, Airtel, introduces India’s first Multiplex in the Metaverse with the launch of ‘Xstream multiplex’.
As per the official statement, ‘Xstream multiplex’ is a 20-screen platform with access to some of the best content ranging from leading OTT partners that are up on its Xstream app.
The Xstream multiplex is ‘an extension’ of Airtel’s Xstream Premium service, which recently attained a huge 2-million subscriber milestone in just 100 days of its launch.
Viewers can easily access the multiplex service on the metaverse platform, ‘Partynite Metaverse’.
Aside from English and Hindi, the streaming service will be available for free for a trial period, which will include the first episode of an OTT original or the first few minutes of a movie in regional languages. Furthermore, the Xstream Premium service will be available for only 149 rupees per month.
This digital multiplex brings an immersive content experience for its users with several engagement options that lets users interact on Partynite Metaverse and teleport themselves to the world of stories!
The idea was devised by Essence, Airtel’s integrated media agency of record, and was developed by Gamitronics, the creator of Partynite.

Shashwat Sharma, director of marketing at Airtel said, “Airtel’s Xstream multiplex provides a larger-than-life experience, which brings together Web 3.0 apps and immersive storytelling, and an assortment of content from our partners.”
He further added that through the metaverse, the firm is trying to tap into a larger user-base by giving content enthusiasts a chance to sample Airtel’s Xstream Premium offering and, thus, helping in pushing for a higher adoption.
