Crypto adoption takes off once more, this time with ridehailing on a crypto exchange. Binance is the first crypto company to provide ridehailing services on its platform. This is done through its collaboration with the mobility super-app Splyt.
Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao, or “CZ”, announced the news on Twitter:
Splyt users can now pay for Splyt services using cryptocurrency. They can use their preferred cryptocurrency to book ride-hailing services and experiences.
Binance users will be able to access Binance Pay for services such as food delivery, scooters, bike-sharing, public transportation, and airport transfers besides ridehailing services once the integration is live.
Pakning Luk, Regional Head of Business Development for Binance Pay said, “Binance Pay is proud to be partnering with Splyt globally as we expand our offering to our user base. Without leaving the Binance App, Pay users have the full capabilities of the Splyt service, allowing them to explore new places and experiences wherever they find themselves.”
Splyt’s on-demand services include over 300,000 ticket offerings and mobility in over 150 countries, as well as global customer assistance via local language conversion.
Philipp Mintchin, Co-founder and CEO of Splyt said, “Binance’s 90 million users will become an incredibly strong demand partner for our network of ridehailing and experience providers.”
