The leading digital fashion platform SKNUPS announces worldwide gaming partnership based on metaverse with Italian luxury fashion house Dolce & Gabbana “to bring their Italian signature style into games.”
According to the announcement, the deal will result in creation and integration of branded skins into leading games, led by drops of limited-edition digital collectables launched exclusively on the SKNUPS platform.
An inaugural digital drop is now live at SKNUPS’ website to celebrate the Dolce & Gabbana gaming partnership.
Fred Speirs, Co-founder and CEO of SKNUPS, stated “We have our first major brand that we can publicly talk about, in the form of Dolce and Gabbana. So we felt like it was the right time to come and talk about it. We have the ambition that we can help build repeatable and scalable drops for partners.”
SKNUPS also revealed that it raised $3.5M in a pre-seed funding round with contributions flowing in from fashion and web3 innovators.
Investors like Redrice Ventures, Blue Wire Capital, Adelpha, etc contributed to the pre-seed funding.
Sknups was founded in 2020 with the goal of empowering gamers, crypto enthusiasts, and fashionistas to level up their skins across Web2 and Web3 digital worlds.
The SKNUPS team has created a web2/web3 hybrid ownership platform that combines high-quality digital fabrication with massive metaverse reach.
The digital collectibles are created by the team using couture 3D models created in SKNUPS’ metaverse atelier.
The platform scales comprise Airdrop tools that give fans democratic drop access, and eco-friendly Solana NFTs for collectors, social flexing tools, fan composability, and web2/web3 game integrations.
