The co-founder of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin, recently revealed his viewpoint on the future of crypto saying that “I do not expect cryptocurrencies to take over the world.”
As per reports, Buterin shared his viewpoint on cryptos ruling the financial space in the future as he spoke at the VivaTech conference in Paris. He further added, “It’s about cryptos and digital and governments.”
Stressing upon Crypto’s volatility, he said that the market capital of cryptocurrencies globally have erased early gains. As a result, cryptos continued their meltdown as Bitcoin and Ethereum started to face selloffs.
Buterin also stated that the increasing use of bitcoin and other cryptos along with inflation has shrunk the purchasing power of many people’s savings in dollars, euros, or sterling, and has only led to speculation over the cryptocurrencies’ potential.
People have also been trying to gauge the extent to which cryptos could become a normal part of life.
His comments come at a time when crypto markets have been facing a brutal crash.
As per the data, the global crypto market cap is $904.11 Billion and has witnessed a 0.53 % decrease over the last day.
