Amid the crashing crypto market, and the rising panic among the crypto investors, the Google search ‘Bitcoin dead’ has hit an all-time high.
The searches spiked just before the end of the previous trading week on Friday, June 18.
Google Trends tracks interest in search terms over time by assigning a score of 1 to 100 based on the total number of user queries.
The search “Bitcoin dead” achieved a score of 100 for the period between June 12–18 based on preliminary data.
The Google searches accurately reflect the market sentiments. A frenzied sell off has led to drastically dropping asset prices.
The situation was further aggravated by the collapse of the Terra stablecoin and the insolvency of major industry players such as Three Arrows Capital and Celsius.
Although industry leaders are trying to encourage investors to hold their investments and have patience, only time will tell where this bear market run takes us.
