A cryptocurrency exchange, Coinbase, announced that it will eventually discontinue its trading platform Coinbase pro and it will replace it with an option of ‘Advanced Trade’ mode in the main app.
The firm revealed on Wednesday that it will gradually replace its trader-focused “Coinbase Pro” service with “Advanced Trade,” a comparable exchange service that, unlike Pro, coexists with Coinbase’s other cryptocurrency investment offerings.
According to a blog post, the “sunsetting” will take place later this year. A reporter discovered on Wednesday that Advanced Trade, which is now available on desktop but not mobile, is already encouraging consumers to transfer their funds over from Pro.
Retail traders who were unaware that they could frequently find lower costs on Pro, which utilises a separate URL and has a standalone app, will likely benefit the most from the change in accessibility.
The modification appears to have minimal functional impact on trading on Coinbase, except for accessibility. Because Advanced Transaction works directly with the Coinbase exchange order book, it is similar to Pro in terms of fee structure and trade execution, according to the blog post.
As Coinbase Pro, formerly known as GDAX, approaches its end, the company promised to provide more capabilities to Advanced Trade in the upcoming months. According to the blog post, mobile services are also in the works.
As exchanges compete for tapping more users it was revealed that Binance.US will now offer zero fees on Bitcoin trading to its users.
