One of the most famous blockchain, Solana, announced the drop of the first Web3 android smartphone named Saga.
“Almost 7 billion people use smartphones around the world and more than 100 million people hold digital assets – and both of those numbers will continue to grow.
Saga sets a new standard for the web3 experience on mobile,” stated Anatoly Yakovenko, co-founder of Solana.
At the same event where Saga was presented today in New York, the Solana Cellular Stack, an Android framework that enables developers to build rich mobile experiences for wallets and applications on Solana and generate a “Secure Factor” for personal necessary management, was also unveiled.
Developers now have access to the Solana Cell Stack SDK, and pre-orders for Saga are currently open with delivery beginning in early 2023.
“We selected the Saga title since the story of crypto is nonetheless remaining written. This is the upcoming chapter of this narrative and we think opening up crypto to cell will direct to greater adoption, much better comprehending, and much more possibilities,” commented Raj Gokal, co-founder of Solana.
Saga is created and produced by OSOM, a leading Android development company whose personnel have extensive knowledge installing computing components for companies like Google, Apple, and Intel, among others.
The latest flagship Snapdragon® 8+ Gen 1 Cellular System, which has the security capabilities to enable the Solana Mobile Stack’s Seed Vault, is featured in Saga along with a 6.67′′ OLED display, 12 GB RAM, 512 GB storage, and other features.

The Seed Vault maintains private keys, seed phrases, and insider secrets separate from the software layer while still being able to interact with apps running on the device or in a mobile browser thanks to the presence of a Protected Element built into the hardware.
Pre-orders for Saga need a $100 fully refundable deposit, which will be applied to the estimated final cost of $1,000. Builders will be given priority in order to test out Saga and the Solana Cell Stack. Pre-orderers may be eligible to obtain a Saga Go, an NFT that will be shipped with the first wave of Saga.
