The founder of the failed stablecoin TerraUSD, Do Kwon has received a threatening message from the hacktivist group Anonymous.
The group posted a two-minute long video on Youtube stating that the crypto market crash might not have been Do Kwon’s fault but his intentions were always malicious.
The Terra founder’s previous comments about how watching new crypto businesses fail is ‘entertaining’ did not sit well with Anonymous.
They also mentioned that Do Kwon is responsible for another stablecoin called ‘Basis Cash’, which failed due to regulatory concerns and resulted in investors losing money.
Do Kwon denied cashing out $2.7 billion, however Anonymous said that it doesn’t account for the $80 million he was cashing out each month.
The information that he was taking millions from the protocol each month has been brought to light by the testimony of Terra Labs employees during interviews with the SEC.
The hacktivist group has decided to conduct their own investigation into the actions of this alleged fraud and bring him to justice.
The video ended with the group warning Do Kwon, saying “Do Kwon, if you are listening, sadly, there is nothing that can be done to reverse the damage that you have done. At this point, the only thing that we can do is hold you accountable and make sure that you are brought to justice as soon as possible.”
Currently, Do Kwon is bein investigated and sued by the police departments and regulatory bodies of several countries. Amongst all this, he has still managed to launch Terra 2.0.
