Famous NFT Comedian Kevin Sonei, also known as Kmoney, is involved in a drama with Goblintown NFT’s Truth Labs. They canceled his performance without his knowledge at Goblintown’s party at NFT.NYC.
NFT content creator tweeted about Goblintown, expressing his anger with the Goblintown and Truth Labs teams for how they handled his performance slot at the NFT.NYC party.
Kmoney’s now-deleted expression of his frustration with the live performance mixup elicited mixed reactions.
Many supporters of Kmoney believed that Goblintown was in the wrong, and they attended the NFT conference to meet him. Many people criticized Kmoney’s handling of the situation.
Truth Labs, the company behind Goblintown, addressed the issue in its own tweet thread yesterday.
“Due to the event starting late because of the pandemonium outside, we had to bump the second part of the event to start Steve Aoki’s set.”
And then they went on to say, “At the same time, we strongly condemn his behavior towards our staff, crew, and especially calling out the event’s producer by name.”
Truth Labs also clarified that the agreement with Kmoney did not include Goblintown party promotion.
The turn of events includes Kmoney tweeting that he has received two death threats due to his Goblintown tweets. Furthermore, he claimed that the address of his New York City hotel was leaked.
“Now it’s gotten to the point where some of my friends are beginning to be harassed due to their relationships with me.”
