The Sandbox, a popular metaverse platform, creates a bridge to enable users to move their LAND and native SAND tokens from layer-1 network Ethereum to layer-2 network Polygon.
As per the announcement, “The Polygon Bridge is designed to increase interoperability between the Polygon and Ethereum blockchains.”
Now, LAND holders can earn a 10 mSAND cashback for each LAND they bridge to Polygon.
mSAND is the new symbol for Polygon-based SAND tokens, and it has the same pricing as Ethereum-based SAND.
The Sandbox will shortly launch two staking programs for LAND and mSAND, as well as a new drop of LAND sales on Polygon, as part of the bridge’s launch.

Polygon has underlined that doing SAND and LAND transactions on the platform will result in lower gas fees, faster transaction times, and greener blockchain interactions.
Last week, Polygon achieved carbon neutrality by partnering with KlimaDAO by retiring $400k in carbon credits representing the entire CO2 emitted since its inception.
