Shocking indeed!! Chevrolet’s NFT vehicle auction failed to attract a single bid twice.
Chevy’s first foray into NFTs was a non-fungible DUD. The company had zero bids for its first NFT although the digital drawing came with a free 2023 Corvette Z06.
The winning bidder would take home a one-of-a-kind Corvette Z06 painted in “Minted Green,” which will be the only edition of such a vehicle. The winner would also receive a binary vehicle identification number (VIN) and the option code RFN, which would “forever associate” the vehicle with the NFT auction .

However, there were no winners as the automakers only accepted Ethereum, which has its price fluctuating over the past few weeks.
SuperRare, a marketplace for digital art, oversaw the auction from June 20 to 24, and although there were no takers, they reopened the bidding for a 24-hour period. Apparently, though, that even didn’t work!!
Moreover, Trevor Thompkins, a Chevrolet spokesperson, stated “Our first step into Web3 has been educational, and we will continue to explore ways to leverage technology to benefit our customers”.
