Cryptocurrency exchange OKX is increasing its stake in English football club Manchester City. OKX is the first crypto platform to become the club’s training kit partner for the 2022-2023 season.
Manchester City’s men’s and women’s first teams will now wear training gear from a leading crypto platform.
OKX was named the club’s first “cryptocurrency exchange partner” earlier this year in a multi-million-dollar deal.
OKX has commissioned renowned street artist Akse P19 and Global Street Art Agency to create artworks in Manchester featuring Manchester City players Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish, João Cancelo, and John Stones at four high-football locations.
The murals will be equipped with QR codes that fans can scan for a chance to win their very own season ticket in the OKX Hospitality Box.
Financial terms were not disclosed, but Forbes reports that the expanded agreement is worth more than $20 million this season.
OKX was also announced as the presenting partner of Manchester City’s first global Trophy Tour since 2019.
OKX has a slew of partnerships, the most recent being with Tribeca Festival as its official cryptocurrency partner and sponsor for the next three years.
