The digital bank, founded by former Lehman Brothers trader Nik Storonsky, Revolut has announced the launch of its ‘Learn & Earn’ education courses in collaboration with Gavin Wood’s Web3 Foundation, founder of Polkadot network.
The Polkadot-based “Learn and Earn” training program aims to educate more people about the digital currency market. More than 18 million Revolut customers now have access to the course.
The platform’s management has launched an incentive program that includes a DOT giveaway. Users of the Revolut app who complete the short quiz at the end of the module will receive $15 in Polkadot currency, courtesy of the Web3 Foundation and Polkadot.
The course is divided into two sections, with the outlines being—Crypto Basics and the Polkadot Multichain Network.
The course will cover fundamental concepts about cryptocurrencies and the underlying blockchain technology. It also educates users on the differences between cryptocurrency and fiat currency, as well as the risks associated with the cryptocurrency market.
The course focuses on Polkadot and how it “unites blockchains into Web3”, but it also covers DOT, Polkadot’s use cases, and key network features such as governance and Relay Chain.

Revolut’s Crypto General Manager Emil Urmashin notes, “There’s a huge appetite from our customers to learn more about cryptocurrencies”. To facilitate this, the financial app has created Learn & Earn, a pithy title for a concise course on all things crypto. The first module, ‘Crypto Basics’, does just that, providing an overview of blockchain technology, before tackling Polkadot specifically.
Crypto companies are increasingly launching educational courses for their users. Recently, the web3 education platform, Metacademy promised “earn while you learn” to business executives .
