The Ukrainian authorities confiscated $3M in cash along with other crypto assets from a crypto trading desk that funneled funds for Russians. On July 12, the Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s office said that it had seized from the alleged money launderers more than 50M hryvnias ($1.6M USD), 830 kg of silver, six plots of land, and three apartments.
The total value of the seized items is more than $3.3M, and most of the cash is in euros. The authorities make no mention of the cryptocurrency or wallets that were seized.
The authorities noted that the cryptocurrency brokers were changing fiat currency and non-fiat assets into digital currency for Russian nationals as well as in the separatist territories of Luhansk and Donetsk. The cryptocurrency brokers will be subject to legal action!!
